This clinical trial evaluates deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) methylation signatures in diagnosing and managing thyroid nodules. The purpose of this research is to develop a new test for thyroid cancer. This test will use needle biopsies (small collections of tissue with a needle) from the thyroid to determine whether the participant has a malignant (cancer) or benign (not showing cancer) thyroid tumor. The information learned from this trial may help develop a more accurate test so that patients do not have unnecessary surgeries for nodules that are thought to be suspicious but are actually benign. This registry will study the use of the Aurora® Surgiscope to provide surgical access and visualization in minimally invasive removal of hematoma in the brain. This pilot phase I trial studies the side effects of total bone marrow and lymphoid irradiation and how well it works with cyclophosphamide in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia. Total marrow and lymphoid irradiation targets cancer in bone marrow and blood, instead of applying radiation to the whole body. Giving total bone marrow and lymphoid irradiation before a donor transplant helps stop the growth of cells in the bone marrow, including normal blood-forming cells (stem cells) and cancer cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cyclophosphamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving total bone marrow and lymphoid irradiation before donor transplant and cyclophosphamide after transplant may work better at treating acute myeloid leukemia. Read Less

The goal of this prospective observational study is to determine whether brief intraoperative electrical stimulation and temporary postoperative electrical stimulation improve motor and/or pain outcomes for patients with cervical spinal cord injury undergoing standard of care nerve transfer surgery to improve hand function. The main hypotheses include: Hypothesis #1: Brief intraoperative electrical stimulation of the donor nerves will result in improved motor outcomes (hand function) compared to standard nerve transfer surgery in patients with cervical spinal cord injuries. Hypothesis #2: Placement of a temporary peripheral nerve stimulator for 60 days of postoperative electrical stimulation will result in improved pain outcomes compared to standard nerve transfer surgery in patients with cervical spinal cord injuries. Researchers will prospectively enroll patients with cervical spinal cord injury and no hand function who will undergo standard of care nerve transfer surgery combined with standard of care brief intraoperative electrical stimulation and temporary postoperative electrical stimulation. Motor and pain outcomes will be compared to a retrospective group of patients who underwent nerve transfer surgery without intraoperative or postoperative electrical stimulation. Participants will receive standard medical care (nothing experimental) as part of this study. Participants will: * Have a preoperative assessment including physical examination, electrodiagnostic studies, functional electrical stimulation, and will complete questionnaires assessing function and quality of life * Agree upon a surgical plan, including the specific nerve transfers to be performed and whether to include brief intraoperative electrical stimulation and/or temporary postoperative electrical stimulation before being considered for enrollment in the study * Will undergo standard of care nerve transfer surgery, with at least one nerve transfer targeting improvement in hand function and will receive brief intraoperative electrical stimulation of the donor nerves and placement of a temporary peripheral nerve stimulator * Will follow-up with the surgeon 3, 6, 12, 24, and 36 months after the surgery * Will have a physical examination and will complete questionnaires at the postoperative visits * Will participate in hand therapy following the operation * Will be eligible for placement of a permanent peripheral nerve stimulator, depending on response to the temporary peripheral nerve stimulator. This is a multicenter, open-label study of DB107-RRV (formerly Toca 511) and DB107-FC (formerly Toca FC) when administered following surgical resection in newly diagnosed High Grade Glioma (HGG) patients. The study is designed to evaluate whether treatment with DB107-RRV in combination with DB107-FC when added to standard of care provides clinical benefit to newly diagnosed HGG when compared to historical performance previously determined in well controlled clinical trials published in the peer reviewed literature. This study is going to be conducted in newly diagnosed HGG patients receiving with maximum surgical resection treatment followed by radiation and temozolomide treatment using the established Stupp Protocol for O6-methylguanine-DNA methyl-transferase (MGMT) methylated patients or radiation therapy for MGMT unmethylated patients. This U.S. Phase 3 clinical trial is designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of the acute intranasal (i.n.) administration of Fasedienol Nasal Spray (fasedienol) (3.2 µg) to relieve symptoms of acute anxiety in adult subjects ages 18 through 65 with Social Anxiety Disorder induced by a public speaking challenge (PSC) in a clinical setting. In addition, safety and tolerability of i.n. administration of 3.2 µg of fasedienol, as-needed, up to 6 times per day for up to 12 months, will be assessed in those subjects who complete PALISADE-3 and choose to enter the distinct open-label extension phase of the study. This phase II trial tests the effects of ruxolitinib in combination with a de-intensified HLH-94 drug regimen has on patients with newly diagnosed hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a disorder caused by dysregulated immune responses (that is, immune responses that are too strong and cause inflammatory damage to normal tissues). The therapy used for HLH decreases the activity of the immune system. Ruxolitinib is a type of drug called a kinase inhibitor. It works by blocking the signals that cause inflammatory cells to multiply. De-intensified HLH-94 is a treatment regimen that includes 4 weeks of dexamethasone with the dose being decreased each week, and up to 4 weeks of etoposide. This combination is commonly used to treat HLH. Dexamethasone is a steroid medication that works by fighting inflammation. Etoposide is in a class of medications known as podophyllotoxin derivatives. It blocks a certain enzyme needed for cell division and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) repair and may kill cancer cells and is used to kill the types of white blood cells in HLH that are attacking the body. Giving ruxolitinib in combination with a de-intensified HLH-94 drug regimen may reduce toxic exposure to therapy while maintaining efficacy in patients with HLH. Read Less
