The long-term goal of this project is to better understand factors at the patient and physician level that can be addressed to impact uptake of long-acting, implantable PrEP (LA-PrEP) products in the future and identify the training needs of physicians. This project specifically focuses on men who have sex with men (MSM) seen in primary care settings in Texas. The main objective of this project is to examine perspectives of MSM and physicians in Texas regarding LA-PrEP, including attitudes and barriers to use and implementation by interviewing patients and physicians from the same clinical practices. A population of approximately 50 pediatric subjects will be enrolled to assess the PK of spinosad and benzyl alcohol for 3 hours following a single, full-body topical application (open label) on a single in-clinic visit (Day 1, or Day 2 if screening only on Day 1). There will be approximately 50 subjects ages 1 month to 3 years 11 months of age enrolled with the goal of completing approximately 16 subjects. With assistance from a caregiver, Natroba will be applied over the entire body from the neck down to the toes (including the soles of the feet) and to the hairline, temples, forehead and possibly the scalp (if a scabies infestation is present on the scalp). The open-label Investigational Product (IP) will remain on the skin for at least 6 hours before removing the IP by gentle washing. The subjects will stay in the clinic until the 3-hour procedures are completed. Blood draws will be taken at 0 hours just prior to treatment, and then at 0.5 and 3.0 hours post-treatment. Heel sticks are likely to be the mode of blood collection for children less than 2 years of age. A ±5-minute time window will be allowed for all post-treatment blood samples. Removal of IP can occur by the caregiver at home after it has been on the skin for at least 6 hours before bathing the child. Safety will be assessed with adverse events (AEs), general skin and eye irritation assessments, and pre-dose and pre-discharge laboratory evaluations. Following the sample collections subjects will be released from the clinic and directed to their primary care physician for follow-up. Subjects will be provided scabies medications upon discharge to dispense to family members. These include 5% Permethrin for those in the household that are less than 4 years of age and Natroba for those in the household 4 years of age and older. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS) will engage reward-related brain circuitry, more specifically the uncinate fasciculus (UF) tract, which connects the orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) and nucleus accumbens (NAcc) regions. Also to evaluate whether the changes in the fractional anisotropy (FA) of the UF tract are associated with changes of clinical symptoms of anhedonia and finally to investigate the moderation role of simulated electric fields (EFs) in an association between FA of the UF and symptoms of anhedonia. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a combination of nivolumab, ipilimumab, cabazitaxel and carboplatin in men with neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC) or other aggressive variants of prostate cancer (AVPC). This study will also investigate biomarkers to gain a better understanding of how the drug combination of nivolumab, ipilimumab, cabazitaxel and carboplatin affects these types of prostate cancer and the immune system. Eligible subjects will receive up to 10 cycles of nivolumab, ipilimumab, carboplatin and cabazitaxel followed by maintenance nivolumab and ipilimumab. Subjects may continue receiving study drugs until cancer progression, severe toxicity, withdrawal of consent, 3 years from the initial dose of study drugs or study termination, whichever occurs earlier. The incidence of moderate to severe congenital heart disease (CHD) in the United States is estimated to be 6 per 1000 live-born full term infants. Recent advances in pediatric cardiology, surgery and critical care have significantly improved the survival rates of patients with CHD leading to an increase in prevalence in both children and adults. Children with CHD significant enough to require cardiac surgery frequently also undergo non-cardiac surgical procedures. Analysis of the Pediatric Health Information System database between 2004 and 2012 demonstrated that 41% of children who had undergone surgery to correct CHD in the first year of life also underwent at least one non-cardiac surgery by age 5. With this increased demand for non-cardiac procedures, anesthesiologists, pediatricians and other healthcare providers will encounter patients with repaired or unrepaired CHD and other cardiac diseases in their practice. However, the information provided by national databases lack granularity and the information from single institutional data is limited. This project aims to address this knowledge gap in quantifying the risk for cardiac patients coming for noncardiac procedures and identify the health care resource utilization and system to best care for this patient population. To conduct this study, we will create a multi-institutional collaboration between large and small centers to create a unique dataset spanning all the different variables that need to be considered in risk prediction for these patients including patient variables, hospital setting, and providers. This study will compare the effectiveness of osimertinib alone with the combination of osimertinib and chemotherapy (carboplatin and pemetrexed) in people with metastatic lung cancer that has a change (mutation) in the gene EGFR. Osimertinib alone is the usual treatment for metastatic EGFR-mutant lung cancer. Researchers think adding chemotherapy to osimertinib could possibly add to the anticancer effects of the usual treatment and help stop cancer from growing or spreading. Read Less

This is a Phase 2/3 study that comprises 5 substudies designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of oral etrasimod as therapy in adult participants with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease (CD) who are refractory or intolerant to at least 1 of the current therapies for CD (ie, corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, or biologics).
