Clinical Assessment of Sports Exertion
Recruiting
The Clinical Assessment for Sports Exertion (CASE) addresses the physical performance of athletes by quantifying physiological and symptomatic responses to dynamic exertion. The CASE is highly sport-specific as it tests multiple body positions that mimic requirements typical of individual and contact sports activities including soccer, gymnastics, cheerleading, swimming, and basketball. It was developed by clinicians at the Baylor Scott and White Sports Concussion Program in an effort to identif... Read More

Registry Study for Proton Therapy Clinical Outcomes and Long-Term Follow-up
Recruiting
Proton therapy is a limited medical resource that is more expensive than conventional x-ray therapy. To correctly measure the success of proton therapy in treating different conditions, it is important to check a patient's health status after their treatment is finished. Checking on the progress of patients over many years (called long-term follow-up) is needed because the long-term effects of proton therapy are not well known.

The Role of microRNA-210 in Regulating Oxidative Stress in Patients With PAD
Recruiting
MicroRNA-210 (miR-210) can be a potential therapeutic target of patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Recent evidence suggests the role of miR-210 and oxidative stress in the pathophysiology of PAD and its association with mitochondrial function, oxidative metabolism, walking distances and quality of life. The protocol evaluates the mechanisms which miR-210 regulates oxidative stress and provides evidence of potential therapeutic strategies.

SX-682 Treatment in Subjects With Metastatic Melanoma Concurrently Treated With Pembrolizumab
Recruiting
Cancers attract myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) that prevent our own immune responses from destroying the cancer. This study will be the first study to begin to determine if the newly discovered drug SX-682 can block cancers from attracting MDSCs. This first study will enroll participants with melanoma, as melanoma cancer has been shown to be able to attract MDSCs. The study will begin to determine if SX-682 is a safe and effective treatment of melanoma. It is thought that SX-682 will b... Read More
